What's On at the Women's Centre this week?

Victorian? Please sign our Petition!

In the last year, the Women’s Centre for Health and Wellbeing Albury Wodonga supported 1919 Women with Domestic Violence Appointments

885 were from Victoria

Currently, the Victorian Government covers the cost of 12 Victorian women who must be new clients for Domestic Violence services
Our statistics show in the past twelve months the Women’s Centre assisted over 100 Victorian women who are new clients for Domestic Violence services

This has created a budget shortfall of $300,000

This funding shortfall has a direct impact on our existing services. We are unable to employ the people needed to make the difference to our three month long waiting lists for urgent services.

Current projections show that to remain operational past the 2022 – 2023 Financial Year, the Women’s Centre must obtain funding from the Victorian Government that recognises the unfunded work currently being done.
Please sign our petition via the link above that requests the Legislative Council call on the Victorian Government to rectify the funding shortfall to the Women’s Centre for Health and Wellbeing Albury-Wodonga Inc. and increase its core funding.

Please support this petition by clicking the link above and signing.

Please forward this petition to your Victorian network, family, or friends. Every signature supports Women and children in Albury Wodonga
